Neurosurgeon is a very highly paid job however this is not the reason of becoming a neurosurgeon. In my opinion the main reason for becoming a neurosurgeon is the feeling of helping others, saving lives and making a positive difference in your patient’s lives. Many doctor’s motivations are to help others alongside doing something they enjoy. I come from a medical family, my mother is a doctor and I have experienced the truly magnificent job that doctors do in hospitals and the reactions of the patients after the surgery or treatment is something that makes your life long’s hard work worth it. Neurosurgery is the most competitive and difficult field to pursue as a career, yet it can be the most rewarding. I have always set my standards high and have a strong opinion about achieving anything, “if it’s possible then why can’t I achieve it?” this is my motivation.
Why become a neurosurgeon?
